Choosing a Folding Wire Mesh Cage
Wire mesh cages have been used in factory workshops and warehouses for years and come in many styles and sizes. Choosing the right one usually means weighing the material's shape, total weight and how it will be handled.
Selection approach. Start by setting the cage's outer size from the material's dimensions, then choose load capacity by total weight, and add accessories as needed, such as steel sheets, hollow boards, bottom casters or rack angle iron. For value, prefer standard sizes and go non-standard when necessary.
Standard parameters. Tongnuo's standard sizes include A-3 (800x600x640 mm), A-5 (1000x800x840 mm) and A-7 (1200x1000x890 mm), with 5.7 mm wire, 50x50 mm mesh and about 700 to 1200 kg per cage.
Light vs. heavy loads. For light loads such as plastic parts, small auto components or textile fabric, with no stacking need, choose 50x100 mesh and 5.0 mm wire to cut cost by using less material. For heavy steel items such as castings and automotive stampings, use 50x50 mm mesh with 6.0 or 6.4 mm wire, adding steel sheets on the sides and bottom when needed to secure load and structure.
If you are unsure, tell Tongnuo's sales team about your material and usage scenario; we will recommend a standard model and confirm whether customization is needed.
